Copyright and DMCA Policy

SaveThread doesn't host any videos or photos. Media stays on Meta's servers, and we only help users save public posts. If you own content and don't want it downloaded through SaveThread, send a notice to dmca@savethread.app and we will block that post from our tool.

How we handle copyright reports

We respect the rights of creators. When we receive a valid notice, we block the reported Threads post URL in SaveThread so it can no longer be fetched through our tool, and we reply to confirm. Because the original post is hosted by Threads, you may also want to report it to Threads directly using the report option in the app.

What to include in your notice

  1. Your name and contact details (email address, and postal address or phone number).
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you own.
  3. The Threads post link(s) you want blocked.
  4. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by you, your agent or the law.
  5. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is fine).

Send notices to dmca@savethread.app.

Counter-notices

If you believe a post was blocked by mistake and you have the right to the content, email dmca@savethread.app with the post link, an explanation, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the block was a mistake.

Misuse

Sending false notices can have legal consequences. We may ignore notices that are incomplete or clearly abusive.
