About SaveThread

Threads grew fast, but saving a video from it is still awkward. Many download sites are slow, covered in pop-ups, or open new tabs full of ads. We wanted a downloader that is fast, honest about what it can do, and pleasant to use on a phone.

When you paste a link, SaveThread reads the public page of that post, the same page anyone can open without logging in, and finds the media files in it. Downloads come directly from Threads' media servers and are passed to you unchanged. We don't store videos, and we don't keep a history of the links people paste.

• Public content only. We never access private accounts or ask for your login.
• No tricks. No fake download buttons, pop-ups or redirects.
• Honest quality. We show the real resolution and size, and never claim "4K" when the original isn't.
• Respect for creators. We encourage personal use and credit, and we act on copyright reports. See our copyright policy.
